Falafel Balls in Yogurt Sauce

Known and loved falafel contains plenty of nutrients, iron, and fiber, in addition to vitamin C, which aids the absorption of iron in the body, contributing to the formation of red blood cells. This dish will leave you full, healthy and satisfied.

Falafel Balls in Yogurt Sauce
Ingredients for yogurt sauce:
Yogurt - 7 tbsp.
Garlic - 2 cloves
Scallion - 2 stems (chopped)
Salt and Pepper - as needed
Ingredients for falafel:
Green bell peppers - 1 (chopped)
Garlic - 1 clove (minced)
cabbage - 1/2 cup (chopped)
Carrot - 1 cup (grated)
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp.
Salt and Pepper - as needed
Oil - 1 tbsp.
Method of preparing the yogurt sauce:
  1. Blend all of the ingredients in a blender until you reach a smooth and even consistency. Pour into a bowl, and store in the refrigerator until needed. 
Method of preparing the falafel:
  1. Process the garbanzo beans with the green chili in the blender until you get a coarse purée. Then add the rest of the ingredients and blend until uniform.
  2. Prepare 12 balls from the mixture. Fry them over medium-high heat, until golden.
  3. Serve on a plate with the sauce as a dip or topping.
Chef's Tip:
If you want to, you can serve the falafel balls in pits bread with salad, pickles, and add fries, tahini, hummus, or the yogurt sauce.
