Paper Sculpted Veggies, Fruits, Insects and Flowers by Ann Wood

Ann Wood is a paper artist. She makes picturesque vegetables, fruits, and insects, and sometimes delicate flowers. The vivid color palette she uses makes her works look incredibly lifelike. She arranges her paper sculptures in still-life compositions. Take a look at her best work below!

The Minneapolis-based artist says she is fascinated by "the challenge of finding ways to translate common materials into almost real looking objects. Branches, roots, and subtle textures found in nature fascinate me and on occasion, I see humor in their forms.”
In addition to different kinds of paper, she uses paint, wax, and colored pencils. In our opinion, the most unique thing about her work is the attention to detail. She says, "it’s the flaws and the blemishes that make a specimen most interesting.”
